Using the expertise he gained as Canada’s leading pension expert, Frederick Vettese has authored a series of globally recognized books on developing a clear financial path to enjoying a successful retirement.
Fred graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Statistics, 1972 – 1976) at the University of Toronto and thereafter successfully completed his actuarial exams. After his 13 years at Mercer where he served as an Actuary and Principal, he joined Morneau Shepell as Vice President in 1988 and became the firm’s Chief Actuary in 1991. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA), and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). Vettese is a sought after speaker and sits on several investment and pension advisory boards. An expert on Canada’s retirement income system, Vettese is a frequent contributor and speaker, appearing in both industry-related forums and the general broadcast media.
